The Helds

I went back home to Indy a few weeks ago and did a little mini session with my sister’s family at their new home. We had great light and a beautiful late afternoon session. And I got to work with my cutie little niece Natalie. I am really going to love being her personal photographer. And hopefully she will too. The four of us had a great time and I think the happiness of their family shows perfectly in their images.

Enjoy…

Caden

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Caden on his seventh day in the world. Fabulous baby, fabulous house, fabulous images. I am really REALLY enjoying the challenge of photographing newborns, and Caden was fantastic. He slept most of our session, but did grace me with some very cute awake moments. He did TRY to stay awake for a bit, but his mom Kim and I nipped that in the bud. Some food and the vaccum cleaner put him right out.  Kim, thank you again for allowing me to photograph your new little cutie, and I hope to work with you again!

Enjoy!!!

Cohen and Nyles

I met Cohen and his mom Lisa about 8 months ago, when she was still pregnant with Nyles. Cohen is my son Noah’s absolute bestie BFF in the whole world. Next to me. They go to school together, which is how we all met. So over many playdates and chats in the parking lot at school while our two crazy boys roll down the hill and find stick guns to shoot monsters with, we have talked about doing some portraits of the boys. So, we finally settled on a date and time and we headed out to Forest Park.

Nyles was the first one I decided to work with. He is so cute and super chill, which is good for his mom because Cohen can wear Noah out, and that’s really hard to do. So, we just plopped him on the ground and I went to town. He was so easy to work with and gave me plenty of opportunities to create some beautiful images.

Then there was Cohen. Cohen is equally as handsome as his little brother but has the energy of…well, I don’t know what, but it’s a lot. I though ahead and brought a bag of Skittles with me, because I am not above bribery. And they worked. Most of the time. So I spent some time chasing him and bribing him and it was soooo worth it.

Enjoy…

Thanks again boys for a great day!

Baby Charlie

I had a newborn session with Charlie this week and what a cutie. He was an awesome little bundle, but boy did he make me work for every image I got. When I got to his house he was snoozing happily on the couch and as soon as that onsie came off he was up and did NOT want to go back to sleep. So, Charlie and I had a newborn awake session. And it was great. He was the most expressive newborn I’ve seen in a long time. Lots of yawning and funny faces. He also liked to spit his tongue out at me. A lot. And after two feeding and lots of bouncing, Charlie finally fell asleep. Victory! And I got some wonderful images of this sleepy little man. For about 5 minutes. Then he was awake again. And I got some more wonderful images. I guess Charlie just didn’t want to sleep through his very first photo session. Robyne, thank you so much for allowing me the privilege to photograph you new baby boy, and I hope to do it again in the future.

ShannonG - These are beautiful, Kate! Can’t wait to see more pix of my precious nephew.

Celia…and the rest of her fam

A few weeks ago I got the chance to photograph Celia to celebrate turning one. And she was so cute and expressive it made my job super easy and lots of fun. I also got to photograph her parents and her older brother and sister who were equally as fun. Ella, was histerical. She was such a ham and kept asking me when it was her turn to get HER picture taken. And Seth, he wanted nothing to do with me. So I chased his all over the yard and despite his efforts, I got some amazing images of him.
Thanks so much to Angella and Justin for having me to their home and allowing me to photograph their wonderful family. I hope to have the pleasure again.
